After receiving the most first-place votes in the previous two weeks but still being ranked No. 2, Hockinson was the unanimous pick as the No. 1 team in Class 2A, according to the Washington Associated Press prep football rankings.
The Hawks received all 11 first-place votes cast to come in No. 1 in a statewide panel of media members. Tumwater was second with 99 points, meaning the Thunderbirds received all 11 second-place votes.
Mount Si moved into sole possession of the No. 2 spot in Class 4A, one point ahead of Union at No. 3. Camas was tied for No. 8 with Gonzaga Prep. Union, however, did pick up two first-place votes.
Mountain View moved into the 3A top 10 at No. 8.
