Two men were injured late Friday afternoon in a car versus motorcycle crash on northbound Interstate 205 near Padden Parkway.

At 5:18 p.m., a blue 2003 Acura RSX, driven by Robert L. Bergstrom, 34, of Vancouver, was entering northbound I-205 when it failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road, according to a Washington State Patrol crash memo.

The car went through some trees and came out on northbound I-205, striking a yellow 2000 Honda GI1500 motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as Isom Clemons, 65, of Owingsville, Ky., was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, troopers said.

Clemons was listed in satisfactory condition at the hospital Saturday night, according to a PeaceHeath spokesman.

Bergstrom was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, trooper said. By Saturday morning, he’d been treated and released, according to a Legacy spokeswoman.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash and impounded by WSP.

Troopers said Bergstrom was distracted when he failed to negotiate the curve. They cited speed and inattention as the causes of the crash. The memo states that charges are pending.
