Central Vancouver — Launda Carroll, CEO emeritus of Innovative Services NW, retired over the summer after 33 years with the nonprofit, most of which were spent as executive director of the organization’s children and family programs. Carroll served as president and CEO from July 1, 2008, through Dec. 31, 2017. When she was hired in 1984, the organization served 85 children and adults through two programs: early intervention for infants and toddlers and a sheltered workshop for adults with disabilities. It now serves more than 1,700 adults, children and families facing disabilities and disadvantages.
