Expect some extra jet noise in the region this weekend.

The Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing is conducting a combat readiness and aircraft response exercise today and Sunday.

The exercise will test the wing’s ability to complete its mission in the simulation of a hostile environment. The work allows them to evaluate mission readiness during wartime assignments, according to a news release.

Exercises won’t include nighttime flights and should be finished by 9:30 p.m.
