“Telling your stories with family heirlooms” is the latest installment in the Clark County Historical Museum’s “Clark County Stories — How We Came to this Place” series.
It’s set for 1 p.m. Sept. 15 at the museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver.
The session will be led by Martin Middlewood, a longtime museum volunteer, researcher and editor who also has worked on a “write about objects” series sponsored by Write Around Portland and the Portland Art Museum. (See some of the results at www.objectstories.org.) Middlewood will lead a 90-minute workshop focused on personal storytelling and the power family heirlooms can have over us. The session will include brainstorming and short writing exercises.
To register, call the museum at 360-993-5679 or email events@cchmuseum.org.
