Battle Ground Education Foundation, local businesses collect supplies for students

Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Education Foundation hosted a Stuff the Bus event Aug. 18, with buses parked outside Fred Meyer and Walmart in Battle Ground to collect supplies. The foundation collected more than 40 boxes on the buses and about 70 backpacks during the event. There were also $426 in cash donations. Everything collected will go to Battle Ground Public Schools’ Family-Community Resource Centers. Drives for the event were also held at local Dutch Bros. and Papa Murphy’s stores.
