Eastbound lanes of state Highway 14 were closed for about 25 minutes Sunday morning after a man threatened to jump from an overpass.

A Vancouver Police Department bulletin said the incident occurred about 8:30 a.m. when an unknown man threatened to jump. The Washington State Patrol and Vancouver police responded and contacted the man, while others closed eastbound lanes and the overpass for safety.

The man moved away from the edge of the overpass and was detained by officers. The man, whose name could not be determined, was transported to a hospital for treatment, the bulletin said.
