Firefighters blocked Northeast Highway 99 in Salmon Creek for a fire at a mobile home Sunday afternoon.

The fire, at Hidden Village Mobile Home Park, 10918 N.E. Highway 99, was reported shortly before 4 p.m.

Responding firefighters arrived to find the home fully engulfed with flames, with fire getting into nearby trees, Clark County Fire District 6 spokesman David Schmitke said.

It’s still warm and dry enough in the area for rapid fire spread, he said.

“We threw everything at it,” he said. “We were just trying to keep it from spreading.”

There was at least one person inside when the fire started, apparently on the outside of the home, he said.

Everyone got out safe, and no one was hurt.

The fire was largely under control in about 20 minutes.

Deputies blocked both directions of the highway in the area to allow for fire hoses to run across the roadway.

Schmitke said the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating.
