Nominees for Week 8 fall sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 27.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

SEAN BALL, SETON CATHOLIC BOYS GOLF: Ball shot a 147 for 36 holes to win the 1A district golf title by nine strokes.

KATIE KOGLER, FIRM FOUNDATION VOLLEYBALL: Kogler had 20 kills, 11 aces, five blocks and four digs in two league wins for the Eagles.

ELIJAH NELSON, PRAIRIE BOYS TENNIS: Nelson placed second in singles at the 3A bi-district tournament.

EMILY PHELPS, FORT VANCOUVER GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Phelps placed third overall in the 3A West-Central Classic in 19:02.

KYLE RADOSEVICH, RIDGEFIELD BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Radosevich defended his 2A district title with 13-second win in 15:53.
