Lifeline Connections provides chemical dependency and mental health treatment and seeks volunteers to help with clerical and administrative duties, as a greeter in the Recovery Resource Center, selling books and merchandise, answering phones, and cleaning.
Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors help people navigate their health insurance options. The Vancouver SHIBA office trains volunteers to be benefit advisors working directly with clients to help them find the best options for their needs and budgets. Advisors are needed from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Training for certification is provided with a six-month commitment expected.
Clark Public Utilities’ Stream Team is looking for people to plant trees in the Battle Ground area, and to honor the volunteer of the year on Make a Difference Day, which is Saturday. Battle Ground Adventist Community Services, a food and clothing pantry, is looking for volunteers to stock shelves, receive and sort food items, sort and hang clothing, assist with client intake, help expand the baby diaper distribution program and sew quilts.
