Vancouver-based Holland Partner Group has purchased 10 acres in San Diego where it plans to build four apartment buildings with 840 total units.

The property was part of the Town and Country resort in the San Diego’s Mission Valley area. The resort sold off the property to help fund an upcoming large-scale makeover project, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The $82 million purchase closed in late September and was preceded by a two-year planning effort between Holland and the Town and Country owners. Holland plans to break ground in March on the first of the buildings after the site’s current structures are demolished, the Union-Tribune reported.

Holland has 11 projects under construction in five states, including others in the San Diego region. The company is also the developer of the future fourth building in the Vancouvercenter. Holland could not be reached for comment.
