Scottish Highland dancer from Vancouver competes in national, world competitions

Burnt Bridge Creek — Stella Bluhm, 9, represented the Northwest at the United States Inter-Regional Nationals for Scottish Highland dancing, finishing as fourth runner-up in the 9-and-younger division at the competition, held in Gettysburg, Pa. She also competed in August in Scotland at the Cowal World Highland Games. The Burnt Bridge Creek fourth-grader started dancing about four years ago, and started competing around 3 1/2 years ago. She is currently practicing for regionals, set for May in Salt Lake City, Utah, with the goal of going to nationals in July in Las Vegas and returning to the world competition in Scotland in August 2021.
