Mountain View slides up to tie for No. 4 in latest 3A state football rankings

All other local teams hold in their same positions

Mountain View moved up into a tie for No. 4 in Class 3A in the Washington Associated Press state football rankings released Wednesday.

The rankings are based on voting of state media members from around the state.

Mountain View is tied with Mount Spokane at No. 4 with 58 points. Last week, Mountain View was ranked No. 6 and Mount Spokane was No. 5. Both teams moved up after Lincoln, ranked No. 4 last week, lost to Lakes.

Mountain View beat Kelso 49-7 last week. Kelso dropped out of the top 10.

All other local teams remained in the same spots they were in last week’s poll. Union is No. 1 in 4A, Hockinson is No. 1 in 2A and Woodland is No. 8 in 2A.
