Battle Ground mentoring program honored by city council

Battle Ground — The Battle Ground City Council acknowledged the longevity and positive impact of Battle Ground High School’s STRIPES program, which is led by school counselor Dawn Pack and is in its 19th year. STRIPES stands for Students Trying to Reach Incoming Peers Experiencing School. STRIPES is a peer-mentor transition and orientation program that challenges 10th- through 12th-grade students to apply to be mentors for incoming freshmen.
