The public is invited to meet local state legislative candidates during a health care forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St.

Confirmed participants include Democrat Chris Thobaben, who’s challenging state Rep. Brandon Vick, R-Felida, for the 18th Legislative District, Position 1; Democrat Kathy Gillespie, who’s running for the 18th Legislative District, Position 2, against Republican Larry Hoff; and Democrat John Thompson, who’s challenging Rep. Richard DeBolt, R-Chehalis, for the 20th Legislative District, Position 1.

The public will be able to ask candidates about their ideas for health care policy reform. Contact Dale Porter, the Southwest Washington regional director at the Washington chapter of Health Care for All, at dale@healthcareforallwa.org.
