3A GSHL football: Prairie 41, Fort Vancouver 8

In his first start at quarterback Zackery Brown passed for 259 yards and four touchdowns as Prairie remained on pace to secure a postseason berth.

Prairie will secure the No. 3 seed to the Week 10 playoffs with a win over Evergreen next week.

Brown, who was starting in place of injured A.J. Dixson, got the Falcons going with touchdown passes for Bret McGuire and Bryce Cordon as the Falcons built and 25-0 lead after one quarter.

Brown also rushed for 51 yards and McGuire rushed for 52, scoring two touchdowns — one rushing and one receiving.

Zeke Dixson had four catches for 81 yards and one touchdown.

Tyler Runkle led Fort with 76 yards rushing and one touchown.
