Villages Clark County is looking for people to help seniors who can’t afford senior living options and don’t need 24-hour health care, by providing rides to appointments, and helping with errands, light housework, yard work, minor home repairs, weekly check-ins, and meals during illnesses.

There will be free training, 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 15. Volunteers may specify which tasks they’re interested in helping with. Background checks will be done.

Contact Ramona Perkins, coordinator, at 360-901-3745, or email villagescc@gmail.com.

More information is at villagesclarkcounty.org.

Share welcomes donations for its annual “Seats & Feets” drive, through October. Donations of new underwear (in a range of sizes), diapers, pull-ups, and socks for men, women, teens and children will be given to clients in Share’s outreach, shelter and housing programs.

Donations can be dropped off 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the Share Fromhold Service Center, 2306 N.E. Andresen Road, Vancouver. Monetary donations to support the drive can be made online at www.sharevancouver.org.
