Landover-Sharmel — Endeavour Elementary School received a $500 California Casualty Music and Art Grant, which will be split equally between two classes. Third-grade teacher Rocky Baker will use the funds to include a self-portrait project with his science lessons. Second-grade teacher Grace Klodt will add a watercolor art project to her class. In a release from the foundation, Baker said he’s been trying to secure funds to buy supplies so he could integrate some arts into his math and science lessons. Klodt said the watercolor project was just not available until she secured the grant money. The Music and Arts Grant program was created this year to assist schools in bringing artistic programs into the classroom.
