Week 6 fall prep sports athlete of the week nominees

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 13.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

KELLEN BRINGHURST, RIDGEFIELD BOYS GOLF: Bringhurst shot 2-over-par 74 to win the 2A GSHL championship at Lewis River Golf course.

SYDNEE DYER, SETON CATHOLIC GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Dyer won a four-team meet at Lewisville Park, covering the 5,000-meter course in 19:17

AMANDA HOLM, LA CENTER VOLLEYBALL: Holm had 62 assists, 15 digs and six aces in a pair of league wins for the Wildcats.

CALLIE RHEAUME, CAMAS GIRLS SOCCER: Rheaume had three goals and eight assists in two league wins for the Papermakers.

DREW WEBER, FORT VANCOUVER BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Weber won a sprint to the wire, covering the 4,000-meter course in 13:54 to win a four-team meet at Hudson’s Bay.
