The city of Vancouver is in need of volunteers to serve on its Planning Commission. The open positions are held by commissioners with expiring terms. The two commissioners may reapply to continue serving.
The seven-member commission serves as an advisory body to the city council on the city’s comprehensive plan, subarea plans, zoning and land-use matters. The commission meets at 4 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, and members should expect to commit to about 15 hours of work per month.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 9. For more information or to apply, visit www.cityofvancouver.us/boards or contact Michelle Bartley in the City Manager’s Office at 360-487-8607 or michelle.bartley@cityofvancouver.us.
