State education committee members visit Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School

North Garrison Heights — Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School (HeLa) students and staff were recently visited by members of the Washington House Education Committee, including Chairwoman Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos, D-Seattle. Some local elected officials also attended, including Rep. Monica Stonier, D-Vancouver, who is a vice chairwoman of the committee, and Rep. Paul Harris, R-Vancouver. The group toured the school and learned about the programs offered to the more than 600 students. HeLa is a health care-focused high school.
