Week 5 fall sports prep athlete of the week nominees

Voting, sponsored Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday.

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 6.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

GRACIE BRENNER, SKYVIEW VOLLEYBALL: Brenner had 25 kills, 18 digs, 10 blocks and seven aces in two league wins for the Storm.

RYAN CIBART, HERITAGE BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Cibart placed seventh in the Flat and Fast Invitational in McMinnville, Ore., in 16:29.

MACKENZIE ELLERTSON, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN GIRLS SOCCER: The senior had eight goals and five assists in a pair of league wins for the Knights.

NATE KESSI, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS TENNIS: Kessi had two straight-set wins at No. 1 singles and teamed with Wilson Keller for a win at doubles.

ANTHONY TOBIAS, BATTLE GROUND BOYS GOLF: Tobias shot a 1-over-par 33 at The Cedars in a league win over Camas.
