Grants Pass, Ore. — Dutch Bros Coffee said Monday it hopes to add 500 more drive-thru coffee stands in the next five years after selling a minority stake in the business to a private equity firm, TSG Consumer Partners.

Founded in Grants Pass, Ore., in 1992, Dutch Bros now has 300 locations in seven states. It did not report terms of its arrangement with TSG or details of its ownership structure.

Travis Boersma started the privately held company with his brother Dane, who died in 2009, four years after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
