4A GSHL football: Battle Ground 31, Heritage 0

Senior running back Trent Thompson ran for 70 yards on 11 carries and had two touchdowns as the Tigers beat Heritage in a GSHL 4A league matchup.

On a rainy and wet field, both teams kept the ball on the ground for the majority of the evening. Battle Ground had a 172-138 rushing advantage.

In the first quarter, Battle Ground’s Garrett Moon picked up a fumble on a mishandled pitch and ran it 18 yards to put the Tigers ahead 13-0.

Heritage Senior quarterback Kahai Umiamaka lead the Timberwolves offense with 100 yards on 21 carries.
