Castle Rock scored its second-most points of the season and fought off King’s Way’s late-game comeback to earn its second victory in a 1A Trico League win over the Knights.
The Rockets raced out to a 21-0 first-quarter lead before Kemper Shrock’s touchdown passes to Bryson Metz (10 yards) and Bryce Dodge (42). The pair combined for three touchdown receptions, including Metz’s 10-yard touchdown from Shrock that pulled the Knights within one score.
Wyatt Partridge led Castle Rock with a game-best 207 rushing yards on 26 carries and three touchdowns. He scored two of his three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
