McCord’s Vancouver Toyota has donated the use of a Toyota RAV4 to Pink Lemonade Project to help the Southwest Washington nonprofit that assists breast cancer patients.
In recognition of the donation, Pink Lemonade Project will have the pink RAV4 on McCord’s showroom floor along with a lemonade stand and support materials from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 10455 N.E. 53rd St., Vancouver. The event coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
McCord’s general manager Phillip Cianni decided to lease the vehicle to the nonprofit support group for free for three years after hearing its story, said Pink Lemonade Project co-chair Don Stose. Stose said the vehicle likely would be used for nonprofit business by the organization’s executive director. He also said he believed that at the conclusion of the three-year lease, McCord’s would provide another with similar lease terms.
Pink Lemonade Project was founded in 2010. It offers services such as emotional support for women who’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer as well as offering stays at a Columbia River Gorge retreat center.
Pink Lemonade Project sponsors in addition to McCord’s include Waste Connections of Washington Inc., Compass Oncology, LifeCell, Northwest Personal Training, GLAMbeauty bar, Why Racing Events, Columbia Bank, Legacy Health, Paul and Maureen Rosenbaum, Columbia Anesthesia Group and Allergan.
