Animal control board seeks members

Clark County is looking to fill two positions on its volunteer Animal Protection and Control Advisory Board.

According to a county news release, one position is an at-large position for a resident of Clark County. The other opening is for a licensed veterinarian who practices in Clark County.

The terms begin immediately and end Oct. 31, 2022.

The board meets quarterly at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month at Clark Regional Wastewater District Headquarters, 8000 N.E. 52nd Court.

Members of the 10-person board report to the Vancouver and Clark County councils once a year on animal protection operations. The board also recommends code changes, acts as an appeals hearing board, and promotes pet licensing, outreach and fundraising.
