Three people were arrested Saturday for allegedly driving under the influence during a DUI emphasis conducted by the Vancouver Police Department and Washington State Patrol.

In addition to the DUI arrests, police made 137 contacts, issued 13 citations and 13 warnings, and made two arrests unrelated to impaired driving, according to a press release from the Vancouver Police Department.

Overtime for the extra patrols was covered by a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission as part of its Target Zero program, the state’s strategy for eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries by 2030.

The law enforcement agencies were assisted by Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency.
