If the Skyview girls had nerves, as their coach admits they did, the Storm didn’t much show it.
Skyview outscored the Plainsmen 31-2 in the second quarter on its way to a rout in the first game of the season.
The Storm held the Plainsmen scoreless in the second quarter, thanks to 16 combined steals from Kazz Parks and Remi Remington.
“They came out a little jittery, but once they got into it … Kazz and Remi kept it steady,” Skyview coach Brett Johnson said.
Remington approached a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine steals and Parks added 17 points and seven steals. Maddie Hendricks pitched in 13 points and Emily Norton added 12 for the Storm.
