Alex Schumacher scored 26 points as the Storm opened their season with a convincing victory.
Skyview’s defense shut down Evergreen in the first half, holding the Plainsmen to 13 points.
While the defense was solid, so was the offense as Skyview made 11 3-pointers and was 20 for 29 from the free-throw line.
“It’s always good starting the season season by shooting well,” Skyview coach Matt Gruhler said. “We set the tone early with our defense.”
Sean Boss added 16 points, and Jace Chatman 13. Kyle Gruhler had 11 rebounds.
Evergreen was led in scoring by Zyell Griffin’s 13 points and Carter Monda with 11.
