YWCA seeks volunteers for its Court Appointed Special Advocates program, to serve as the voice for children as their cases navigate the child welfare system. There will be an informational session for new CASA volunteers, 6 p.m. Nov. 29 at YWCA, 3609 Main St., Vancouver.

Furry Friends Washington, a no-kill cat shelter, is looking for volunteers to help the kitties in residence stay clean, comfortable and content. Clean litter boxes; wash and dry bedding; sweep, vacuum, and mop; feed and water; medicate as needed; and play and socialize with the cats. Shifts available during the mornings Monday through Thursday and on Friday evenings.

North County Community Food Bank is looking for 20 to 30 volunteers to pack food boxes, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 11 and 12 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St. Email kittyh@hsc-wa.org to reserve a time to help. Volunteers are also needed to distribute food, 7:30-10:30 a.m. on Dec. 15. Donations of toys and monetary donations for toys can be dropped off at the food bank at 17 N.E. Third Ave., or at Les Schwab Tires, 1719 W. Main St., both in Battle Ground. The Battle Ground Kiwanis Club will be sorting toys and other donations on Dec. 13.

Shared Hope International is looking for volunteers who enjoy talking on the phone to make thank you calls to donors. Also, people with great penmanship are needed to address holiday and thank you cards. Shifts are available 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 21.

YWCA seeks volunteers for its Safe Choice Advocate program, which provides a 24-hour crisis line, a secure shelter, children and family advocacy, legal advocacy, support groups and community education assisting those fleeing domestic violence or with the LGBTQ community. Extensive training required.
