Kaden Perry scored 25 points and nearly had a triple-double, but a last-second 3-pointer lifted Puyallup in a non-league game.

Cobi Campbell’s 3-pointer from the corner in the final seconds lifted the Vikings.

“Kaden Perry had a monster game for us,” Battle Ground coach Manny Melo said. “He hit 9 of 12 free throws, had closed to 20 rebounds and about eight rebounds.”

Brendan Beall added 13 points for the Tigers, who worked a lot of players into the rotation because of foul trouble.

“It was a good game to start the season,” Melo said. “They just hit a big shot at the end.”
