Parents pack Canyon Creek on Take Your Parent to School Day

Washougal — Canyon Creek Middle School parents and special guests were invited to experience a day in the life of their students on Oct. 29 at the seventh annual Take Your Parent to School Day. “The goal is to bring these adults in for first-hand experience in the classrooms and to see what their students are learning and how they are being taught,” Principal Sandi Christensen said in a release from the district. More than one-third of students had an adult accompany them to classes, the highest turnout so far for Take Your Parent to School Day at Canyon Creek. Jemtegaard Middle School held its parent day on Oct. 25.
