Eric Landon was hired as senior vice president and information technology director at Riverview Bancorp Inc., the parent company of Riverview Community Bank, headquartered in Vancouver. Landon started his career in technology while in the Navy, then moved to the financial industry in 1996. He has a degree in computer information systems and is enrolled in the graduate program at Pacific Coast Banking School. Riverview Community Bank has 18 locations, 11 of which are in Clark County, according to its website.

The Building Industry Association of Clark County — a nonprofit trade association that represents the interests of businesses involved with real estate, land development, homebuilding and construction — recently installed new officers for 2019.

They are:

• President — Michael Shanaberger, Romano Capital

• Vice President — Dave Myllymaki, ReNew Creations

• Vice President Secretary — David Millar, Millar Construction

• Vice President Treasurer — Tony Curtis, Current Home Technologies

• Vice President Associate — Mark Kroll, Biggs Insurance

• Immediate Past President — Aaron Marvin CAPS, CGP, CGB, A.C.T. Builders LLC.

At that same meeting, several current members received a President’s Award for their contributions to the industry.

Award recipients included:

• Builder of the Year –Matthew Clarkson, Soaring Eagle Homes

• Remodeler of the Year — Larry Scherer, Scherer Enterprises

• Volunteer of the Year — Tony Curtis, Current Home Technologies

• Industry Advocates of the Year — Drew Helmes, New Tradition Homes & Ryan Styger, Pacific Lifestyle Homes

• Associate Member of the Year — Michelle Thor, Columbia Credit Union

• Supplier Member of the Year — NW Natural

• Subcontractor Member of the Year — DeWils Industries.

The BIA also announced award winners for the Columbia Credit Union Remodeled Homes Tour presented by Contract Furnishings Mart and DeWils. Winners were:

• Favorite Project: Strong Construction

• Favorite Kitchen: Bridge City Contracting

• Best Transformation: Strong Construction.
