CAMAS — Camas Bee Lady Susan Knilans will host a free beekeeping class in January, open to people new to bees, people who have recently acquired bees or those interested in beekeeping. The two-part class runs 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 12 and 19, upstairs at the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Third Ave.

The class will cover increasing pollinator forage and water sources in a yard, hanging up a “hands-off” bee habitat box, and selecting a hive that works for the student and their bees.

Visit preservationbeekeeping.com/beginning-beekeeper-series for more information. Guests are asked to bring a journal for taking notes. To attend, email susanknilans@gmail.com.
