3 Clark County schools recognized for improvements

Three schools in the Vancouver and Battle Ground school districts are among 91 identified as 2018 School of Distinction winners.

The award recognizes continuous improvement over a five-year period in English language arts, math and graduation rates.

River HomeLink, a Battle Ground Public Schools kindergarten through 12th grade school, was named a School of Distinction for the third time. In Vancouver Public Schools, Benjamin Franklin Elementary School received the honor for the third time. Lewis and Clark High School was also recognized.

The award is sponsored by the Center for Educational Effectiveness, the Association of Educational Service Districts, the Association of Washington School Principals, the Washington Association of School Administrators, Washington State School Directors’ Association and the Washington State Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development.
