A Vancouver woman was killed Wednesday when a pickup struck her as she crossed Highway 99 in Jackson County, Ore.
Oregon State Police troopers and emergency responders were dispatched about 8:45 p.m. at Milepost 4.5 for a report that a vehicle struck a pedestrian.
A 2018 Ford F-150 pickup, driven by 33-year-old Jordan Abbasi of Missouri City, Texas, was traveling north on the highway when he struck Bonnie Weyburn, 52, in the road, according to Oregon State Police.
Weyburn was transported to a hospital but later died from her injuries.
Abbasi was uninjured in the crash and is cooperating with investigators.
