Vancouver’s Downtown Association is sponsoring a holiday window decorating contest.
Participating businesses will gussy up their storefront windows by Nov. 23, but the association is not getting all Grinch-y on the deadline. Its news release notes that the association will “understand that if your business is closed that day or you cannot make that deadline, it is okay as long as it is decorated by Dec. 7. This is when the windows will be judged during First Friday Artwalk. Winners will be announced the following week. The last date to enter the contest is Nov. 21.
Windows will be judged by Vancouver’s Downtown Association Promotions Committee members for most original, best use of lights and most traditional. Participation is free. Questions: Beth Thrasher at admin@vdausa.org.
