The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Saturday Grant Program is underway, offering businesses a chance to win a $2,000 grant through social media promotion.

Chamber members with 15 full-time employees started competing Nov. 1 in a social media hashtag contest for $6,000 in grant funds that will be awarded in $2,000 grants to the three best posts.

More than 120 businesses and nonprofit organizations enrolled in the program to amplify the voices of small business during November. Participants create a testimonial or user experience post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter about a small business or nonprofit member; they post their entry, and they include the contest hashtag: #GVCCgrant2018. The contest ends Nov. 24 — Small Business Saturday.

In addition to grant funds, the program offers an opportunity to create a marketing plan and gain more exposure through social media. More information is online: www.vancouverusa.com/pages/SmallBusinessSaturday.
