A 12-year-old Vancouver girl missing since Monday afternoon has been found safe, family said Thursday.
Miriam Marie Smith was last heard from Monday afternoon when she contacted her mother from home but was not there when her mother arrived later, according to police.
Family members said Thursday she had been found safe.
“I am so grateful for the help of the Vancouver Police Department and all of my friends and family that we were able to have a positive outcome to this tragic situation,” Rodney Smith, the girl’s father, said in an email. “Please keep her in your prayers as she continues to move forward and make progress within her life.”
