Students try zucchini through Farm to School program

Landover-Sharmel — Chartwells K-12 introduced students at Endeavour Elementary School to new fruits and vegetables in the Discovery Kitchen as part of the Farm to School initiative. Students tried locally grown zucchini through the program, which aims to promote local produce and support local farms. Students learned about food, nutrition, agriculture and environmental stewardship, and how they are incorporated into the Evergreen Public Schools meals program.
