CAMAS — The algae advisories at Lacamas Lake and Round Lake have been lifted as of Monday afternoon, according to the city of Camas. The city sent out a release at 1 p.m. Monday announcing the advisories at both lakes were lifted.
Clark County Public Health put Round Lake under advisory on Oct. 17, and Lacamas Lake under advisory on Oct. 18 due to the presence of blue-green algae.
Blue-green algae produce toxins that can be harmful to people and deadly for small pets that drink the water, and the public was advised to avoid direct contact with both lakes.
