A fire at a Vancouver condominium early Sunday morning displaced two residents.

Vancouver Fire Department firefighters were dispatched about 4:30 a.m. to the 1000 block of Northeast 45th Street for a report of a structure fire.

The first crew to arrive on scene found a one-story condo on fire, Capt. Raymond Egan said.

Firefighters began dousing the blaze from the front of the home before moving to the back. They then entered the home and extinguished the remaining flames.

The fire was under control in about 11 minutes, Egan said.

Most of the damage was confined to the kitchen area.

The fire displaced two people, who were helped by the American Red Cross. One of the residents was treated at the scene for non life-threatening injuries, Egan said.

The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
