A 12-year-old Vancouver girl was reported missing Monday afternoon, and police are asking residents to keep an eye out.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, family last heard from Miriam Marie Smith when she contacted her mother from her home that afternoon, but Miriam was not there when her mother arrived home later.

She’s described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, about 110 pounds, white with shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes. She was thought to be wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans and burgundy-colored Vans shoes. The police said she has no known health issues.
