Legacy Health to offer low cost bike helmets

HAZEL DELL — Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center will host an annual helmet sale from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at an open house at Clark County Fire District 6, 8800 N.E. Hazel Dell Ave., Vancouver. The bike helmet sale is sponsored by Trauma Nurses Tough Talk, a Legacy Health program aimed at eradicating preventable injuries and deaths. Helmets, sized for toddlers and adults, cost $6. Nurses and trained volunteers will also fit the helmets for safety. The nurses are also selling sets of elbow, knee and wrist pads for $10.
