Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council. For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3690

Columbia Springs seeks long-term, committed volunteer leads and docents for its education programs. People with a passion for nature share their enthusiasm with over 20,000 visitors each year. Help with outreach activities, lead crews of volunteers during restoration projects, assist with school field trips, host family activities, lead guided hikes, and work in the visitor center.

Friends of the Carpenter seeks volunteers to help at its Second Chance Thrift Shop. Help with receiving and sorting donations, and customer service.

Hope Dementia Support Group seeks volunteer group leaders and substitute group leaders. Training is provided, but prior experience as a caregiver of someone with dementia is helpful.

International Experience USA, a nonprofit, high-school exchange student organization, seeks families to host exchange students. A local coordinator to work as a matchmaker between host families and students is also needed. Learn more at iE-USA.org
