The Columbia River High boys lacrosse team won its Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Varsity playoff game on Saturday at Bellingham 16-3.
Jacob Ayers scored five goals and had six ground balls, Nick Frichti had four goals and five ground balls, and Benjamin Bisquera had three goals to lead Columbia River.
Isaac Alijets made 18 saves in goal on 21 shots.
Columbia River now faces Liberty at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty High School in Renton for a spot in Saturday’s 1A/2A championship, which will take place at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila.
Skyview’s season ended with a 17-9 loss to Skyline of Sammamish on Friday at Ridgefield High School. Carson Kiichle had four goals for Skyview.
Battle Ground third in state rugby
The Battle Ground High rugby team beat rival Prairie for third place in the Rugby Oregon state championships.
Battle Ground won the “Plate Final” 34-25 on Saturday at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Ore.
In the fifth-place “Bowl Final,” Oregon City edged out Union 22-19.
Soccer camp, club registration open
The Vancouver West Soccer Club Summer Camp for ages 5-12 will be July 9-12 at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics field, 3101 Main Street, in Vancouver.
Cost is $75 and each participant will receive a T-shirt. Deadline to register is July 7.
The camp will cover fundamentals for new beginners, ball control, finishing, pass accuracy, soccer movements and ball protection.
Also, fall registration for the Vancouver West Soccer Club is now open. It serves families in west Vancouver and Hazel Dell.
Registration runs through June 30. Players birth year 2011-14 is $70 and includes T-shirt. Players 2000-10 are $90. Family maximum is $200.

Memorial Day run in downtown
The Race to Remember Memorial Day will take place Monday in downtown Vancouver.
A half marathon, 10K, 5K starts and finishes at the Remembrance Wall on Columbia and Phil Arnold Way.
Day of race registration begins at 7 a.m. The half marathon starts at 9 a.m. and the 10K and 5K begin at 10 a.m.
Entry fees range from $35 to $65.
