Filing week opened Monday with a flood of candidates filing, some known and several unknown. Today is the last day for candidates to file. Paperwork is due by 5 p.m.

That said, here’s who has filed so far this morning beating the late afternoon rush.

Clark County Council District 1

Veny Razumovsky, running with the CascadiaNow party, filed for the seat this morning. So far the only other candidate is Temple Lentz who is running as a Democrat. The seat is currently held by Jeanne Stewart who hasn’t yet announced a bid for reelection.

Clark County Council District 2

Incumbent Julie Olson, a Republican, has drawn a challenger from her own party. Elisabeth Veneman field for the position late Thursday afternoon.

Clark County Assessor

This race has now drawn two challengers to incumbent Peter Van Nortwick. Darren Wertz, who is running as a Republican, filed late last night.

Vancouver City Council

Another familiar face has joined the race for Position 1. Sarah Fox, who was one of six finalists for the position in February, filed late Thursday. Fox is a planner with the city of Camas.
