Orchards — There was a little less new home construction around Clark County on April 27, as employees of Pacific Lifestyle Homes jobsites took the day off for the company’s 18th annual “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

Each year, employees get a day off to go participate in fun group outings. In the past, the company has taken a trip to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and gone on a cruise on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler.

This year, the group started their day off with a search party at McMenamins Kennedy School, followed by lunch at the venue. The group then toured one of the company’s model homes and finished off the day with some bowling for charity.
