A 26-year-old Vancouver woman was killed in a Multnomah County, Ore., crash Thursday night, according to Oregon State Police.

Officers based in St. Helens, Ore., responded to the crash on Oregon state Highway 30, just east of Northwest Cornelius Pass Road in Portland, at about 7:40 p.m., according to a release from the state police.

An initial investigation found that Natasha Melyn Carrillo was turning east in a blue 2002 Toyota Camry, entering the highway from the Bottoms Up Tavern.

When she was turning, a Ford pickup driving westbound struck Carrillo’s car. According to police, 55-year-old Rainier, Ore., resident Kim V. Cox was driving the truck.

Carrillo was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been told about her death.

Police said it is currently unknown if alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor of the crash. Both Carrillo and Cox were reportedly wearing their seat belts.
